Abbott. Silver and rainbow moonstone pendant

This feather-shaped necklace, handcrafted by a designer, features a moonstone with rainbow reflections, making it an unrivalled piece. It is part of the Avant le Temps des Dragons collection.

This necklace is made of 950/1000 sterling silver. The motif is 3 cm high and 13 cm wide, with a fancy chain. The necklace closes with a snap hook. The total weight of the jewel is 19 gr 50 (without the stone).

This designer jewel was hand-forged by Galadrielle's workshop, an artisan d'art bijoutier. To fashion this original creation, the jeweler first made sketches and drawings before assembling silver plates and wires that were cut and then soldered together. To make the jewel precious and shiny, it was completely polished by hand.

The pendant is topped with a fine stone, a 2.5 cm 1.5 cm drop of rainbow moonstone.

Moonstone or hecatolite has a perthitic texture.

It has a hardness of 6 - 6.5 on the Mohs scale.
